HO WOOD Essential Oil (Certified Organic) 50ml

Ho wood oil is steam distilled from the leaves and branches of the camphor tree (cinnamomum camphora). The main constituent of ho wood is linalool, which gives the oil floral and citrusy notes. Because rosewood is now an endangered species around the world, ho wood is often used as an alternative to it in perfumery, thanks to their scents similarities.
Previously used for sword and knife handles because it would not scratch the fine blades, Ho Wood became more popular in 1985 when a major explosion at a Linalool-producing facility greatly decreased the available supply. This launched Ho Wood as a natural and sustainable replacement. Locally referred to as Shiu Oil in China, it is commonly used to extract its aromatic constituents.
